WARNING - MY OFFICE WAS RECENTLY NOTIFIED OF THE DMV OPERATOR ACTING LIKE THE FOLLOWING TRANSCRIPT WHEN PERSON CALLED THE NUMBER ON THE PINK TEMPORARY LICENSE - you have to fight to get a hearing - demand a hearing and don't answer questions like this caller did:

DMV: Department of Motor Vehicles - after long hold

Arrestee: I'd like information on a hearing for DUI

DMV: Do you agree you were drinking alcohol that night?

Arrestee: Yes

DMV: Do you agree that the police made contact with you for a lawful reason?

Arrestee: Yes

DMV: You don't "need" a hearing, and you should just let things happen as they happen because you will would probably get something called a "wet and reckless" anyway.

Arrestee: Ok - and this person let the 10 calendar days go by without demanding a hearing and lost the driver's license for months.

DON'T DO WHAT THE ABOVE PERSON DID! DON'T LET THE DMV FOOL YOU!

Your license will be automatically suspended or revoked 30 calendar days after your arrest date. The DMV computer does this automatically after the inputting of your arrest date by the computer. You should have received a PINK form from the cop. If you were not given one of these forms, something is wrong with your case. The form you should have received looks like this one below (there is another form for under 21 year old drivers):
